Quick Summary
Bronson conducted a comprehensive organizational review of Know History, a Canadian historical services firm, at the end of its first decade in business.
The review combined document review, operational data analysis, and structured one-on-one consultations across the company.
All Director-level staff were consulted, along with a representative sampling of company staff, using individually tailored consultation guides.
Bronson identified Know History’s strengths, shortcomings, and the operational and strategic priorities for its next decade of growth.
The final deliverable was a comprehensive report with prioritized recommendations and an implementation strategy aligned to the company’s values.
Project Overview
Know History is a Canadian company that provides a range of historical services supporting the research, presentation, and documentation of Canada’s history. Founded in 2011, the firm grew significantly in both size and project activity over its first decade.
After reaching that ten-year milestone, the Director of Know History sought an independent organizational review of the company. The objective was straightforward: identify opportunities for improvement, examine current processes and structures, and surface recommendations that would allow Know History to keep growing into new areas while preserving the values that defined its first decade.
Bronson was engaged to conduct that review. The work called for a structured methodology tailored to the realities of a professional services firm operating in a specialized subject-matter domain. The approach had to combine quantitative analysis of how the company actually ran with qualitative insight from the people who ran it.
